Our history
The history of K. B. Jainul Club & Library is a story of remembrance, generosity, community spirit, and a shared love for sports.
1962 — The beginning
The club was established in 1962 in memory of Late Mir Jainul Ali, a promising young footballer from the neighbouring village of Mirpara. Known for his passion and talent on the football field, he had travelled to the then East Pakistan (now Bangladesh) to pursue his studies. Tragically, his life was cut short when he passed away while playing the game he loved.
Heartbroken by the loss of his son, Late Mir Tajen Ali (Gomasta) decided to create a lasting memorial in his honour. He donated 5 decimals of land for the establishment of a club and library, believing that sports and education could continue the legacy of the young footballer. It was on this land that K. B. Jainul Club & Library was founded, and where its clubroom and library building still stand today.
1982 — The playground
Over the years, the club grew into an important centre of community life. Recognizing the need for a proper sports facility, Late Hafijuddin Ahmed, father of Ketabuddin Ahmed, made a remarkable contribution in 1982 by donating approximately 1.78 acres of land for a playground in memory of his father, Late Hazi Meherdi Biswas. This generous act provided the foundation for the spacious playground that has since become the heart of sporting activities in the area.
2019–2020 — Expansion
As the club's activities expanded and the demand for sporting facilities increased, another important milestone was achieved during 2019–2020. With financial support from local residents, former members, and well-wishers, the club successfully purchased an additional 20.25 decimals of land to further enlarge the playground. This achievement reflected the strong bond between the club and the community.
Today, the playground extends over more than 6 bighas of land and is the only club-owned playground in Kaliachak-II Block. It hosts major football and cricket tournaments, school sports competitions, and numerous community activities throughout the year.

To promote sports, education, community welfare, and youth development while preserving the rich legacy of K. B. Jainul Club & Library. Creating opportunities for future generations and strengthening community bonds through sports and social service.
